Schools Jamaica is a user friendly website created for the main purpose of making school life easier for everyone. It was specifically designed for students, teachers, and parents; just about everyone involved in the primary and secondary education system.

Schools Jamaica offers a simple and efficient place where school schedules can be interactively created- at the click of a button. With this program, schools can generate timetables, class schedules, subject schedules, schedules for specific activities and even teacher schedules, with minimum effort. The program is so designed that no two periods can overlap, timetables are easy to view and teachers, parents and students from primary and secondary schools, can interact and keep up to date with their schools’ activities.

Schools Jamaica is also an advertising project aimed at marketing and selling selected services and sponsorship packages. It will produce an ‘Online School Scheduler’ that will see an increase market shares and promote name recognition for sponsoring companies. Our online searchable school directory for Jamaica (which is an added feature with the website) has the capability of providing timetables for schools across the island, with an estimated viewership of over thirty thousand teachers, five hundred and fifty-five thousand parents and one million one hundred students. This website is a sure way of maximizing on the efficient promotion of sponsors’ goods and services when they sponsor a school.

How did we get started?

Schools Jamaica was created based on ideas presented by O’Neil Walker and an urgent need of a user friendly program to offset the tedious task of generating timetables, especially for schools with a large population. Through the inception of internet in schools by Cable and Wireless, it is now possible for every school to access the Schools Jamaica website. Schools Jamaica was launched by ContactMan limited on March 23, 2010.

Why an online school timetable?

This decision was based on the amount of time spent each year in schools to distribute timetables for students along with the cost of printing. After all that time and money, the timetables were still inaccurate and sometimes needed changes in the middle of a term or semester. We then saw the need for a system that not only generates, but is also easily accessible to everyone for free; hence, the reason for online viewing.

Is it easy to sponsor?
